Why flash a CFMoto ECU?
CFMoto has become one of the most popular brands on the road and the trail, from the 450SR and 700CL-X to the 800MT and the CForce, UForce and ZForce side-by-sides. Like most modern machines they leave the factory with conservative maps: lean fuelling at part throttle, soft throttle response and speed or rev limits set for the widest possible market. A reflash puts the calibration back in your hands.
MotoFlasher supports one of the widest ranges of CFMoto models available, motorcycles and ATVs alike, all with Bosch ECUs flashed through the diagnostic connector.
CFMoto ECU families
- Bosch MSE6.0: the 450SR, 450MT, 450CL-C, the NK range, 650 GT and MT, 700MT, CL-X 700 and most CForce, UForce and ZForce models.
- Bosch MSE8.0: CForce 450, 500 and 520, CL-X 250, SR 250 and Papio 125.
- Bosch MED17 (CAN boot + UDS): the 800MT family (Explore, Sport, Touring, MT-X), 800NK, 700CL-X, CForce 850, UForce 600 and 1000, ZForce 950 and 1000 Sport.
- Bosch MSE9.0 (TC375): the newest 675SR-R and 1000MT-X.
All of them are read and written through the diagnostic connector with a Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 or a CANable.
What riders change on a CFMoto
- Fuelling at small throttle openings for a cleaner pick-up.
- Maps matched to an aftermarket exhaust or intake.
- Throttle response and torque delivery.
- Rev limits and, on ATVs and UTVs, speed limits for private land and track use.
- Fan temperature for slow trail riding.
Flashing a CFMoto, step by step
- Keep the battery on a charger.
- Connect your interface to the diagnostic connector.
- Read the ECU and save the original file.
- Edit the maps or load your tuner’s file.
- Write it back. MotoFlasher corrects the checksum.
Frequently asked questions
Are CFMoto ATVs and UTVs supported?
Yes. CForce, UForce and ZForce models with Bosch MSE6.0, MSE8.0 and MED17 ECUs are supported alongside the motorcycles. See the table above for every model.
Can I flash a CFMoto 800MT through the diagnostic port?
Yes. The 800MT family uses a Bosch MED17 ECU that MotoFlasher reads and writes over CAN, without removing it.
Is the 675SR-R supported?
Yes, on the Bosch MSE9.0 (TC375) ECU.
Which interface do I need for a CFMoto?
A Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 or a CANable.
Can I return to the stock map?
Yes. MotoFlasher reads the full original file first, and you can write it back at any time.
