MotoFlasher uses hardware-bound licensing. When you activate your license, it's tied to your computer's hardware. This means you can reinstall Windows or the software without losing your license, as long as you're using the same hardware. If you need to transfer your license to a new computer, contact our support team.

Yes, you can upgrade from a Slave or Standard license to a Master license at any time. Contact our sales team for upgrade pricing. The difference in price will be prorated based on your remaining subscription period.

RH850 add-on modules are optional one-time purchases that unlock support for newer ECUs using the Renesas RH850 microcontroller. These include protocols for newer Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, KTM, and Kawasaki models. Each module is purchased separately based on the manufacturer/protocol you need.

Yes, we offer a refund policy for unused licenses. If you haven't activated your license key, you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Once a license is activated, refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please review our Refund Policy page for complete details.

Yes, MotoFlasher licenses automatically renew through your PayPal subscription. You’ll be billed each term unless you cancel the subscription in your PayPal account.

MotoFlasher supports ECU families from major manufacturers: Bosch (MSE 6.0, MSE 8.0), Denso (SH7052F, SH7054F, SH7055F, SH7058F, M32R, RH850), Keihin (M32R Honda OBD2/BDM, SH72531 KTM, RH850), and Mitsubishi (MH82XXF, MH8102F, MH8115F, RH850). RH850 protocols require additional add-on modules.

MotoFlasher works with commonly available, affordable communication interfaces: Tactrix OpenPort 2.0, USB-to-TTL (FT232) for UART protocols, USB-to-KKL/K-Line for OBD2 K-Line protocols, and CANable/USB-to-CAN for CAN bus protocols. MotoFlasher runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). We recommend having the latest Windows updates installed for best compatibility. macOS and Linux are not currently supported.

Absolutely! We're always working to expand our supported motorcycle list. Contact us through the support form with details about your motorcycle (make, model, year, ECU type if known) and we'll evaluate adding support for it. Priority is given to commonly requested models.

To read your ECU: (1) Connect your communication interface (OpenPort, USB-TTL, etc.) to the ECU diagnostic port using the appropriate wiring. Check our ECU Pinout Database for wiring diagrams. (2) Launch MotoFlasher and select your motorcycle/ECU type. (3) Click "Read" and the software will automatically detect the protocol and read the full ECU contents. (4) Save the file as a backup before making any modifications.

To write a file to your ECU: (1) Ensure you have a backup of your original ECU data. (2) Load the modified file in MotoFlasher. (3) Click "Write" - the software will automatically calculate and correct checksums for supported protocols. (4) Wait for the process to complete. Do not disconnect power or the interface during writing. (5) Verify the write was successful by reading the ECU again and comparing.

ECU firmware contains checksum values that verify data integrity. When you modify a file, these checksums become invalid, and the ECU may reject the file or fail to boot. MotoFlasher automatically calculates and corrects checksums during the write process for supported protocols, ensuring your modified file is accepted by the ECU.

The Master/Slave system is designed for professional flashing shops. As a Master, you can: (1) Create and manage Slave accounts for your team members. (2) Control which protocols/features each Slave can access. (3) Distribute and manage bin files to your Slaves. (4) Track usage across your organization. Slaves operate under the Master's account and don't need separate protocol purchases.

While ECU damage is rare when using MotoFlasher correctly, there are risks with any ECU modification. To minimize risk: (1) Always create a backup before modifying. (2) Never disconnect power during read/write operations. (3) Use a stable power supply (battery charger connected). (4) Double-check your wiring before connecting. (5) If unsure, contact support before proceeding. MotoFlasher's checksum correction helps prevent issues from invalid files.

After purchase, just log in with your username and password. There’s no license key required—your PC will be automatically registered the first time you sign in.

Yes, license transfers are possible but require support assistance since licenses are hardware-bound. Contact our support team with your license key and the reason for transfer. We'll deactivate the old hardware binding and allow you to activate on your new computer. Note: Frequent transfers may be flagged for review.

The ECU Pinout Database is available in the Members Area after logging in. It contains wiring diagrams and connection information for supported ECUs. Navigate to the Members Area, find your motorcycle/ECU, and you'll see pinout diagrams and recommended wiring configurations.
