Why flash a Moto Morini ECU?
The X-Cape and Seiemmezzo share a parallel twin with a conservative Bosch calibration: lean fuelling at small throttle openings, a soft response and limits written for emission tests. A reflash smooths the pick-up, matches the fuelling to an exhaust and sets the bike up for how you ride, on the road or off it.
Moto Morini ECU
All supported models use the Bosch MSE6.0 ECU: the X-Cape 650 (2021 onwards), the X-Cape 700 (2025) and the Seiemmezzo STR (2022 onwards). It is read and written through the diagnostic connector with a Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 or CANable.
Flashing a Moto Morini, step by step
- Keep the battery on a charger.
- Connect a Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 or CANable to the diagnostic connector.
- Read the ECU and save the original file.
- Edit the maps or load the file from your tuner.
- Write it back. MotoFlasher corrects the checksum.
