Why flash a BMW ECU?
BMW’s boxers, inline fours and sixes are refined machines with calibrations to match: conservative fuelling at small throttle openings, softer response than the engines are capable of and limits written for emission tests. A reflash lets you tune the bike for your exhaust and the way you ride.
BMW ECU family
The supported BMW models use the Bosch BMS-O ECU on an Infineon TC1793 processor, read and written over OBD through the diagnostic connector with a Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 or CANable:
- S 1000 R, S 1000 RR and S 1000 XR (2020 to 2024).
- R 1200 GS LC and R 1250 GS (2019 to 2024).
- K 1600 GT and K 1600 GTL (2022 to 2024).
BMS-O support is an add-on where marked in the table above.
