So funktioniert es

Moto Guzzi in vier Schritten flashen

  1. 01

    Verbinden

Why flash a Moto Guzzi ECU?

Guzzi’s transverse V-twins are all about torque and character, and the factory calibration hides some of both: lean fuelling at small throttle openings, a hesitant pick-up and a hot-running engine in traffic. After an exhaust change the problem gets worse. A reflash puts the fuelling and the response right.

Moto Guzzi ECU families

  • Marelli IAW 11MP (TC277): the V7 Stone and V85 TT from 2021, the V100 Mandello from 2022 and the Stelvio from 2024.
  • Marelli MIU G4: the V9 from 2021.

Both are read and written through the diagnostic connector. The IAW 11MP is the same ECU family used by Aprilia.

What riders change on a Moto Guzzi

  • Smoother fuelling at small throttle openings.
  • Fuel and ignition for an aftermarket exhaust.
  • Fan temperature.
  • Rev limiter.

Flashing a Moto Guzzi, step by step

  1. Keep the battery on a charger.
  2. Connect a Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 or CANable to the diagnostic connector.
  3. Read the ECU and save the original file.
  4. Edit the maps or load the file from your tuner.
  5. Write it back. MotoFlasher corrects the checksum.
